Cash Register Fundraiser

Each month Food Front raises funds for a featured organization or community project.  We seek to raise funds for organizations that work to enhance the social framework and protect the natural environment on which we all depend on for healthy living. Make your donation the next time you check out at the register! One hundred percent of the money collected is donated.

"Bean Bag" Fundraiser

Food Front will donate 5¢ each time you bring your own grocery bag!

Why Reuse your bags? The fact is that the difference between RECYCLING is small compared with REUSING when it comes to your grocery bags.

For every bag you choose not to use, Food Front will donate money to participating community organizations. Here’s how you can participate:

  • Carry reusable cloth bags
  • Reuse paper and plastic bags several trips
  • Say “no, thanks” when you don’t need a bag
  • Keep a cardboard box or two in your trunk and load it directly from your shopping cart

When you choose not to use a bag be sure to place the beans your cashier gives you in the jar of your choice! This year’s organizations include:

Hillsdale:

Hillsdale: SW Hope Feed the Hungry Campaign

To collect 150,000 pounds of food or the cash equivalent ($1.00 = 5 lbs.) to feed all the hungry people in Southwest Portland for three to four months.  Food collected and monetary donations will go to the Neighborhood House Emergency Food Box Program.
